Alliance
All-Ways Secure
is an
System i
(AS/400 and iSeries) Enterprise solution that
automates the tasks involved with sending and
receiving database files and spool files with FTP
(File Transfer Protocol). You can automatically send
or receive files from a remote system on demand, on a
scheduled basis, or under the control of your
application programs. Alliance monitors the status of
each transfer, records the results in a permanent
history file, and provides diagnostic information for
each session. Alliance All-Ways Secure
is an ideal
solution for eCommerce, Retail, Branch Office,
Desktop, and Cross-Platform requirements. And it
connects with major networks like IBM Advantis Global Network (now
a part of GXS),
AT&T, and AllTel.
The
Alliance All-Ways Secure PGP Option provides a full
implementation of PGP encryption, decryption, signing,
and key management functions for the System i and
iSeries platform. A native System i application, there
is no need for a separate PC or UNIX server for
encryption services. Alliance All-Ways Secure provides a
full set of automation capabilities including IFS
directory scan, library scan, Application Program
Interfaces (APIs), and other services.
You can securely exchange files with your bank,
insurance provider, benefits provider, and any EDI
trading partner using the Alliance PGP Option.
PGP encryption is a HIPAA compliant data
protection methodology.
All-Ways Secure
includes support for AES encryption. You can
encrypt DB2 database files, IFS files, and reports for
secure distribution over the Internet or to a server.
Alliance can distribute the encrypted file as a
self-decrypting archive for execution on a Microsoft
Windows platform. Additionally, Alliance AES support
provides APIs you can use to encrypt fields in a DB2
database file. You can encrypt sensitive information
such as credit card numbers, social security numbers,
and private information. The AES encryption support is
NIST certified to help you meet federal and state mandates for
secure data storage and distribution.
Alliance
provides a complete FTP client implementation
including support for 128-bit SSL encryption of your
FTP sessions. You can use Alliance SSL FTP support to
communicate with any FTP server that supports SSL FTP.
Sensitive information such as user Ids,
passwords, and data are protected by the same
encryption technology used in secure web browser
sessions. Alliance
SSL FTP is compatible with IBM Global Network’s
Information Exchange FTP service (IEFTP) and GE
Information Services (GEIS) Interchange Services FTP.
Alliance
All-Ways Secure can be used to communicate with Value
Added Networks such as IBM Global Network, GXS, and AllTel Networks.
For System i customers with frame relay
connections Alliance All-Ways Secure can fully automate
the exchange of data with these networks.
If you are exchanging data with GXS you can use the
Alliance SSL FTP client to securely exchange data over
the Internet. Alliance
SSL FTP can reduce your network and character charges
while decreasing the time to exchange data.
The Alliance All-Ways Secure
library scan facility can detect any files
received from remote systems and process them into
your business applications, or send files from any System i
library to a remote system. And Alliance All-Ways Secure
includes a complete interface to the native
IBM scheduling facility. You have all of the tools you
need to automate your file transfers.
To integrate
FTP functions with your RPG, Cobol and CL applications
the Application Program Interfaces provide an
easy-to-use and flexible means of performing FTP
sessions. Several source code examples show you how to
use the APIs and will get you up and running fast.
Alliance All-Ways Secure
includes support for sending spool files to
remote systems. You can send reports in either text or
HTML format and you can provide user-defined HTML
headers and footers for your reports. An unlimited
number of output queues are supported. Spool file
selection criteria include spool file name, user name,
job, and spool file user data. You can also combine
any of these selection criteria to create complex
spool file routings. Post processing options include
moving reports to any output queue you define.
Alliance All-Ways Secure
includes file compression
routines to reduce transfer times. Compression support
includes Gzip for Linux/Unix compatibility and Zip for
Windows and Macintosh compatibility. You can compress
any System i
file before transfer and use standard PC
applications like WinZip or PKZip to decompress the
files.
Sophisticated error notification includes
system management notification using System i
SNMP agent
support. You can also define up to three System i
message queues, three email addresses and a data queue
for error notification. Alliance All-Ways Secure
gives you
the options you need to properly manage FTP on your System i
and respond to error conditions.
Alliance All-Ways Secure
includes support for conversion of Excel CSV and Unix
tab-delimited files to and from System i DB2 database
files. Full IBM FTP exit point security is supported
with compliance logging.
