The Alliance free trial program

The Alliance trial process is designed to help you quickly evaluate the software solution on your own AS/400. The software is fully functional and does not need to be deleted and reloaded after the trial completes. You can use the Alliance software with your own database files and business applications. We are confident in your ability to evaluate the functionality, utility, and fitness for your AS/400 and application environment. There are no fees or charges involved in any part of the trial process. Here is how our trial process works:

Request a trial, or download from our web site
You can download the Alliance application directly from our web site, or you can request a trial shipment from our web site, or at (800) 357-1019 (International +1 360 357 8971). If you download the product from our web site you will receive a pass word for the download file within one business day. You will also receive a shipment of the software with printed manuals, AS/400 software CD, and product information. If you request a trial shipment, you will receive the shipment within three business days. After you request a trial an account representative will contact you to verify your shipment address and AS/400 information.

Take the requirements review
The Alliance support team will schedule a requirements review conference call. They will review your business and XML translation requirements with you to be sure the solution is appropriate for your needs.  You can pose any technical or product questions in this session. After analyzing the business requirements with your IT and management team, a plan is  created for the walkthrough and certification steps that follow. 

Take the walkthrough with the Alliance customer support team
After you have installed the Alliance software on your AS/400 and entered your trial code, the Alliance customer support team will schedule a walkthrough with your IT team. The walkthrough takes about 45 minutes and you will use the Alliance software on your AS/400. In the walkthrough session you will configure the Alliance product and do actual XML translations. The session is designed to show you the main features of the product, and provide enough training to get you started. This is not a "demo mode" exercise - you will be using a fully functional product to translate real XML data provided in the product.

Complete the self-paced certification guide
After completing the Alliance Walkthrough you will complete a simple certificate process. The certification process is a self-paced exercise using the Alliance product to perform typical XML translation tasks. The certification process normally takes about one hour, but may be completed at your own schedule. 

You are now on full technical support!
Once you've completed the walkthrough and certification steps, you are on full technical support with the Alliance customer service team. You can create your own XML maps and translation definitions with access to all of the Alliance resources. Enjoy!
