IBM ServerProven program:

Several
of the Alliance software solutions have been
awarded the IBM ServerProven certification and
logo including Alliance FTP Manager,
Alliance XML/400, Alliance
AuthExpress, and the Alliance
PGP Option. This can mean important
cost savings for you, and assures you of the
quality of the Alliance solution.
Here’s
what IBM says about the ServerProven program:
“The
IBM ServerProven™ Program is based on this
simple idea: give customers the confidence that
all parts of their solution—hardware, software
and middleware—install quickly, start up
easily and run reliably. When you see the
ServerProven emblem, you'll know that the
software application you are looking for is part
of a complete business solution that has been
identified, validated, optimized and documented
to run reliably on IBM servers. That allows you
to concentrate on running your business, not
implementation problems.”
Real
savings on IBM hardware
IBM
offers special incentives on AS/400 hardware
purchases when you deploy an Alliance
ServerProven solution. You can earn up to
$128,000 in rebates on a purchase of an IBM
iSeries server. Several Alliance customers have
received a discount on their iSeries hardware
purchase. In some cases the discount has paid
for the Alliance software purchase.
Confidence
in the solution
A
software vendor only qualifies to use the
ServerProven logo after an extensive review of
the solution by IBM. IBM interviews the software
vendor’s customers to determine the ease of
installation, quality of support, and
appropriateness for the IBM hardware platform.
Once the vendor qualifies for the ServerProven
logo, the process doesn’t end. The software
vendor must re-certify on a regular basis.
