Welcome to Patrick Townsend &
Associates solutions for data security. We are proud of
the complete line of solutions we offer for your data
security. Our customers rely on us 24 hours a day, 7
days a week, 365 days a year to secure their iSeries
data and provide world class support. Companies like
IBM, ExxonMobil, Hyundai, AMA Insurance, Planet
Hollywood Aladdin, and many others rely on us to provide
Enterprise class solutions. How can we help you?
iSeries tape encryption
Tape
Encryption Security-The loss of data archival tapes can
trigger expensive privacy notification requirements as
well as expose the Enterprise to legal risk. Fields in
files that have been encrypted by Alliance encryption
technology will be encrypted on archival media, and may
allow you to avoid privacy notification requirements.
Since encryption keys are stored outside of the database
little risk is incurred on the loss of media.
Please see our press
release for more information.
iSeries field level encryption
Your iSeries database files contain
sensitive information. Employee social security numbers,
customer credit card numbers, passwords and access
codes, personal identity information, and much more. You
can use Alliance solutions to encrypt this data with
256-bit AES encryption. AES (Advanced Encryption
Standard) is a US federal standard for data encryption,
and you can secure even small fields in your files.
Alliance provides key management, application APIs, and
sample code to help you get started.
iSeries DB2 file encryption with PGP
The industry standard for file
encryption is Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). Alliance
products incorporate the very best solution for PGP from
Network Associates. You can exchange encrypted files
with Bank of America, Wachovia, BankOne, Fidelity,
Merrill Lynch, and a wide variety of insurance, medical,
and marketing service organizations. Full and automatic
integration with line-of-business ERP and CRM
applications is provided. Alliance PGP supports
Additional Decryption Keys (ADK) which are crucial for
regulatory compliance and data recovery.
iSeries IFS file encryption with PGP
You can use Alliance PGP to
automatically encrypt any file in the iSeries Integrated
File System (IFS). This includes files on Windows and
UNIX mounted drives. Turn your iSeries platform to a
central encryption hub. Encrypt and automatically
transfer files to remote FTP servers, Value Added
Networks, and other FTP portals. Alliance also supports
automatic decryption of PGP files and integration with
ERP and CRM applications.
ISeries Save File
encryption
Alliance
AES save file encryption commands can encrypt a save
file to an intermediate file in a library, or encrypt a
save file directly to tape. When using the command to
encrypt directly to tape no intermediate files are
created. This helps iSeries users who do not have
adequate disk space to contain the encrypted save file.
The save to tape is optimized for the fastest possible
tape operation. Save files encrypted to tape can be
restored from tape and decrypted directly to a target
save file.
iSeries DB2 file encryption with AES
Alliance AES encryption provides an
easy to use encrpytion package for your DB2 files. You
can encrypt files for transfer to other AS/400 systems,
Windows PC and Server applications, and off-line
storage. Automation features make encryption easy to
implement. You can also use Alliance AES commands to
encrypt and decrypt files. Alliance provides a Window
encryption application for distribution to your trading
partners at no charge. Trading partners can encrypt
files to send to you, and decrypt files you send to
them.
iSeries IFS file encryption with AES
Alliance AES encryption routines
can be used to encrypt files in the iSeries IFS file
system including mounted Windows folders and UNIX file
systems. Encrypt and decrypt files using the Alliance
commands or automated directory scan facility. Queue
encrypted files for delivery via FTP other web services.
Alliance AES encryption for IFS includes full key
creation and management facilities.
iSeries self-decrypting archives
Self-decrypting archives are
encrypted files wrapped in an executable program.
Recipients of the file can just run the program to
decrypt the data and store the resulting file on their
hard drive. Imagine encrypting a file or report with
sensitive data and sending it as a program that can be
run on the recipient’s computer. You can use
individual pass phrases for each recipient. The PC user
runs the program, enters the pass phrase, and decrypts
the file to the hard drive. Self-decrypting archives are
available for Windows recipients. Alliance
self-decrypting archive support is a native iSeries
application – no external PCs or servers are
required.
iSeries encryption for Windows
Alliance AES support includes a
Windows application that you can distribute free of
charge. Windows users can run the application to decrypt
files you send to them. They can also encrypt files to
send to the iSeries platform. Secure your communications
with customers, employees, and vendors.
iSeries spool file encryption with AES
iSeries reports often contain
sensitive information including social security numbers,
credit card numbers, sales forcasts, and other business
information critical to your success. Alliance products
can convert spool files to text, PDF, HTML, and RTF
formats for distribution. Converted files can be
encrypted prior to distribution to secure the
data.
iSeries SSL FTP for secure file transfer
Normal FTP file transfers do not
secure the data that you send or receive. With Alliance
SSL FTP support you can encrypt the entire connection
between your iSeries and the remote FTP server. Alliance
uses strong 128-bit SSL encryption and is based on open
standards for SSL connections. Supported SSL FTP servers
include Sterling CONNECT:Enterprise, Ipswith FTP-Pro,
IBM Advantis IEFTP, GXS FTP services, US Bank,
BellSouth, and many others. Alliance applications
include support for firewall negotiation and can work
with FTP servers incomplex security
configurations.
iSeries HTTPS secure web services and XML
Secure web services shouldn’t be
rocket science. Alliance provides easy-to-use secure
HTTPS web server and client applications for our XML and
Internet secure transfer needs. You can deploy a web
service directly on your iSeries platform without
external PC or UNIX servers. You can also integrate your
iSeries latform with Internet web services. Transmit or
receive XML data on demand.
iSeries AS2 EDI-INT web services
Many large retailers have
standardized on AS2 for their secure data communication
needs. AS2 is a secure Internet protocol for real time
data exchange. Alliance provides full support for AS2
communications directly on your iSeries platform using
the iSoft Commerce Suite series of products. You can
integrate your AS2 communications with Inovis
TrustedLink, Extol, or Gentrans applications. The result
is a highly automated application that talks to
Wal-Mart, Kroger, Meijer, Food Lion, and many
others.
iSeries SSL TCP sockets
If you need customer SSL TCP
sockets connections Alliance can provide generalized
secure connections. Alliance supports an array of
payment terminals, manufacturing control devices,
scanners, and other devices using standard and SSL TCP
sockets. Contact your Alliance software provider for a
list of currently supported connections and information
on custom development.
iSeries secure .NET integration
Alliance software products support
secure connections from Microsoft .NET applications with
full support for HTTP authentication and HTTPS secure
connections. Additionally, the Alliance .NET Integrator
application can run in .NET application environments to
convert standard HTML forms to XML documents suitable
for processing on your iSeries. Application development
is simplified by requiring only the creation of standard
HTML forms. Your iSeries applications can process data
and return XML responses to the browser, PDA, or other
intelligent device.
iSeries secure email
Patrick Townsend & Associates
has partnered with PGP Corporation to bring secure email
services to the iSeries platform using the PGP Universal
product. You can secure all outbound email using strong
PGP encryption, secure email to selected domains, or
secure email on a user basis. With self-managed security
architecture you will not need to manage individual
email recipient keys. Email recipients can manage their
own security keys and can download software to provide
encryption and decryption services. You can even give
email recipients the ability to opt-in for secure email
services. This easy to manager solution secures your
email and works for your desktop users, too.
Do you have a
data security requirement not in the above list?
